Simran Lalwani is 44-year-old runner whose running journey began 10 years back. While she initially started running so that she could give in to the temptations of her sweet tooth and not let the countless chocolates that she ate show; it gradually moved on to it becoming a form of meditation for her and now she can’t imagine her days starting without her chasing the sunrise. Along with seeing it as a form of meditation she also says it makes her very happy and her kids can vouch for that as whenever she misses her run she is sure to be in a grumpy mood.
While she has run countless marathons be it Goa, Navi Mumbai and even the Long Island Marathon she still considers the Mumbai Marathon to be her favourite as not only does she get the chance every year to run on the Mumbai Sea Link she feels the energy of the Maximum City is incomparable to any other place. She has clocked in her personal best at 1:58 for half marathon and 4:36 for the full marathon. Her running USP is that she always makes sure to start her place slowly and gradually decided to build up her pace this not only ensures one doesn’t get tired in the beginning and makes you look rather fresh for the pictures that are clicked enrooted.
This year she has decided to take up the duty of a pacer to give back to the running community which has given her so much; friends that she cherish, perspective on things and her solace on bad days. With her husband Rishi Lalwani always being her source of inspiration having done two full Ironman’s she too wants to be the pushing force behind someone completing their race.
Apart from running, she is a freelance makeup artist and a full-time mother to 2 children
Running is like meditation to Gautam Chanchlani, the time that he dedicates to himself, plans his day, thinks about life (and future wife). What started roughly 3.5 years back as just another activity, has now turned into a passion which evidently makes him stronger & happier than ever.
His first Half Marathon was none other than…. wait for it……’Mumbai Marathon 2016’ (SCMM then), the marathon which has brought out the runner in a lot of people in India. Since then, there was no looking back. He was a mentor in a 3-month Mentor Programme at a local running club. His personal best half marathon timing is 1:58:41 at Navi Mumbai Marathon 2018 and once during a practice run, he burnt 10kms in 50:34 (Don’t ask how coz he doesn’t know either as he smirkingly says “some days are just your day”). He has paced 10+ events till date and all his buses were bang on time. His most adventurous showcase was at 12 Hour Run 2017, where he went on a cycle just to motivate his friends, and rather ended up cycling 42km and running 45kms, phew!
He is utmost disciplined, a self-motivated runner (and a naughty brat). This Chartered Accountant working in a Corporate, practices 5-6 days a week with one-day mandatory rest.
While pacing, his prime focus will be to motivate all in the bus (and around) to finish on time at ease (please bear with the PJs he cracks while pacing). He believes that his pep talks and small important suggestions at the appropriate time will take the bus home exactly between 2:19:30-2:19:55 hrs.

Mahesh has been a football player in his school and college days, but he had could not find time for it once he started working. Running came to him as a health savior which helped him get back to fitness and develop friends who are passionate about exercise and wellness.
Last Year in 2017 he took up the challenge of completing 12 Half Marathons in 12 months which he successfully achieved with a PB of 2 hours. Running has helped him to manage work-related stress and it became a great to begin his day on a great high; it has also helped him in making great friends in his life and he is sure they will remain his friends for life.

He has Successful Experiences of Pacing in a few HMs and 10KMs.
Alarmed by a routine health check-up 4 year back, the poor results of which acted like Warning Bells, and experiencing the other Ill-effects of the Modern Corporate Sedentary Lifestyle such as being Overweight, Dinesh started Running initially just for Fitness. After regaining the basic fitness by shedding a few kilograms, he soon developed Passion for Running - gradually improving on Speed as well as Endurance. He has the Personal Best 54 Minutes for a 10KM and marginally over 2 hours for a Half Marathon at TMM 2018.
Dinesh would like to urge fellow Citizens and Professionals – No matter how busy schedules and work pressures you may have, you would definitely find time for the Fitness and what could be the better way to achieve it than “Running” that costs hardly anything and translates into visible Fitness Levels in rather short time without exposing you to the risks of Injuries and Accidents. Besides, it also works wonders for your ‘Social Well-Being’ with you making friends with numerous likeminded and enthusiast folks. Initially, you may find it rather tiring and a little lethargic to get up in the morning and put on your running shoes but once you start feeling within the Adrenaline Rush and the Ecstasy thereof, you would wonder why you didn’t take up to this long before! It’s then only a matter of little time before you make your Running as a Lifetime Sport! And soon you too would start saying and living by the Quote "I don’t run to Add Days to my Life, I run to Add Life to my Days!"
